Local students
Admission of local students to undergraduate and graduate programs is carried out by the State Committee for Admission of Students. Applications are accepted from all qualified students regardless of race, nationality, gender, handicap or cultural background. The State Committee considers applications for admission to undergraduate and graduate studies using the Rules and Procedures established by the Committee.

International Students
The geography of international students covers Turkey , Russia , USA , Peru , Iran , Baltic republics, China , Pakistan , Nigeria , India , Poland etc.
Besides being placed by the State Committee for Admission of Students, international students may be admitted to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs at the University on a contract basis.
Applications (available on the website: www.adu.edu.az) should be submitted to the Department of Foreign Relations of the University during the period from August 25 to September 25.
The application and the relevant documents are reviewed by the International Relations Department and the Admission Office of the University. Students are admitted on the basis of the GPA earned by the student in his home country and interview held by the University.
The agreement between the University and the student is signed after the student's transferring the tuition fee for the language preparatory courses to the University's bank account.
All international students applying to either undergraduate or graduate programs at the Universities of Azerbaijan have to take 1-year preparatory course in order to study Azerbaijani or Russian. This is because the instruction of General Education courses (for example, History, Constitution of Azerbaijan, Philosophy, Psychology) is mostly conducted in Azerbaijani or Russian. The cost of the preparatory course is $500 . Classes start on October 1. Students having completed the preparatory program are enrolled to relevant programs on the basis of the results of the final exams.

• A photocopy of the high school certificate • Document confirming the participation at the entrance exam (for students from Turkey *)

The tuition fees for international students are as follows:
Undergraduate
Teacher Training: $1,300 - full time, $800 - by correspondence Translation: $1,300 - full time,
Philology
$800 - English $500 - German $500 - French International Relations $1,000 Regional Studies $1,000
Graduate
$1,200 - full time $1,000 - by correspondence
Post-graduate
$1,200 - full time $1,000 - by correspondence

*The admission of Turkish students who have not participated at the relevant entrance examination in their home country may be considered as an exceptional case by Azerbaijan University of Languages.
