 Students Organization
Students Organization was founded in May 2005 with the support of Azerbaijan Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism , Azerbaijan Ministry of Education and Azerbaijan University of Languages. The Organization facilitates connection between students on the basis of voluntary principles and encourages them to active participation in public life. The organization has its emblem, official letter blank and other requisites.
The organization consists of 37 members. All the members comprise Students Council.
The organization also includes the Presidium and Verification Commission consisting of 9 members. The Presidium and Verification Commission members are elected from those of the Students Council. The chair and 2 chair-deputies are elected for one-year-term.
There is a direct representative of the Organization acting as a member of Board of the University of Languages and submits a weekly report to the University.
The General Meeting of the Students Council is held at least twice a month. Once a year General Meeting of the Organization - the Conference - is held where the chair, the deputies and members of the Presidium and of the Supervisory Body are elected. The Conference approves the Annual Report and the Budget.
Young Diplomats' Society
The Young Diplomats' Society was established at Azerbaijan University of Languages in 2004. Members of this Society are young teachers in the area of International Relations and Diplomacy and undergraduate and graduate students of the Department of International Relations and Regional Studies. Students of other Departments are also welcome to become members of this Society.
The Society holds monthly meetings with local and foreign diplomats, State and Government representatives, experts in international relations, political science and economics, employees of various sections of diplomatic missions of foreign countries etc.
Extracurricular Activities
The students are engaged in various activities such as the Drama Circle , Dancing Circle and a variety of sports activities. Students attend Sports Section that provides instruction in about 12 sports activities.
