On December 26,  on the initiative of university's vice-rector for International Relations, Professor Jala Garibova organized by the Department of International Relations an event on  " New year in the eyes of foreigners " was held at Information Resource Complex (IRC) of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) on the occasion of  December 31 - Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and New Year for foreign students and teachers. First , vice rector for Academic Affairs of the University, Professor Dunyamin Yunusov welcomed the participants, congratulated everyone on December 31 - Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis, but also the New Year, wished them success in their future endeavors. Noting that representatives of many countries live in Azerbaijan vice-rector for International Affairs, Professor J.Garibova said that they make our country more interesting and rich with their traditions. It is a combination of different cultures of foreign students, she said and  wished them to spend more beautiful the New Year in our multicultural country. Director of the Confucius Institute at AUL, Professor Rafig Abbasov congratulated the participants, and wished them success. Hungarian language teacher Edina Dallas, Italian language teacher Muscaritolo Stefano, Korean teachers and students, as well as the employees of the Confucius Institute informed about how they meet the New Year in their own countries, different customs and traditions associated with the celebration of the festival. At the same time, a student of Erasmus Mundus program Janan Ozbaykal has performed national dances of different nations. The event continued with the celebrations.
