The Ambassador of Sweden visited AUL

On February 13, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Azerbaijan Tobias Lorenzson visited AUL.

Rector of AUL, academician Kamal Abdulla, welcomed the ambassador and guests, and expresssed his pleasure at meeting them at the university.

It was noted, that one of the important elements of cooperation is the development of international relations, study of foreign experience programs. The guests were told about various projects and exchange programs for teachers and students implemented at AUL.

Talking about the history of the "Ambassador Hour" project and its importance for students, the rector emphasized that such meetings are often held at AUL: "Azerbaijan University of Languages develops international scientific cooperation and partnership relations with universities of different countries. This development is important for improving the knowledge and skills of both our teachers and our students. Our students successfully participate in various local and international projects. One such project is the Ambassador Hour project. I believe, that the relations of friendship and partnership between Azerbaijan and Sweden will develop on an ascending line, both in all spheres, as well as in the fields of science, culture and education".

Expressing gratitude for warm reception and kind words, the Ambassador talked of new directions of future scientific cooperation. It was noted, that scientific, cultural cooperation is of great importance for both countries. At the meeting on behalf of the staff of AUL the Ambassador was presented with memorable gifts.

Then a meeting with students took place as part of the Ambassador Hour project. The meeting was also attended by Robert Melwitz, a Swedish language teacher at the Online Swedish Academy.
